Hello all. I have a fault on my 02 plate Micra Twister. When locking the car, either remotely (key fob), or with the key in the driver/passenger door lock the car automatically unlocks itself again - it will not stay locked! I would be happy to disable the central locking system and lock/unlock manually. Can anyone please tell me if there is a fuse I can remove to do this or any suggestions as to a fix.  Thanks in advance. Colin

Hi Colin.

When it locks or unlocks one of the motors will probably be making quite a loud noise. Whichever one it is will be faulty and that is causing the locks to unlock again. Remove that door panel and unplug the motor. You will then need to replace the motor but the rest of the car will lock.

Hi Mick, thank's for the advice. If the motor is disconnected can that door be locked by key? Regards Colin.

Hi Colin.

Yes, if you disconnect the motor the lock will still work manually or with the key.
