I have just picked up a cheap and cheerful Micra Sport C+C, which generally seems

fairly sound, apart from the lack of power steering.

Reading a fair bit, it seems a super common fault, but have found various ways/means

and prices for resolving.

First up - is there any advice for checking what/where the fault actually is?

And how to identify exactly which motor/module is fitted?

Citi Auto Centre has a replacement (below) for £145.95 which seems fairly reasonable.

But also states there are 3 variants, plus of course whether this is actually the faulty

part. Any advice greatly received.

Hello...
Are you good with electrics ?
I replaced lighter socket on my 2008 tekna with a mobile charger.
Double charger, the type with a blue light.
The power to this became intermittent then it stopped altogether.
Can you suggest how I search for the fault ?
I don't think it's the two cables from the charger which I connected to the old lighter. I think its somewhere else...I checked those two.

rapid flashing spanner light then engine management came on reset computer engine management light off but still flashing spanner light any one any ideas? and its not the service schedule

Hi all,

my friends late 2017 Qashqai front doors do not both lock at the same time, sometimes its the drivers door that remains unlocked sometimes the passenger door that stays unlocked.

The local garage wants to replace the latch but i feel they are just guessing and this could be a very costly process, I have suggested getting the fob checked first. i would appreciate some advice from any of the club member.

I have had a 2008 Micra CC for 10 years without any problem other than an annual service. The drivers window remained down after closing the roof nad the fault has been identified with the BCM unit part number 284B2BCOOE. The window motor unit has been replaced but still will not work. Unfortunately the part is out of stock (I am told) . Have to renew left hand brake light which is led. Nissan are quoting £170 for a new unit as led is built in. have found one on ebay for £60 but they want a part number. Where will I find the part number please?

£170 for a new bulb is a horrendous price. It seems water leak has compromised the unit.

What ever happened to led bulbs you can just change via a bayonet fitting?

Anyone else have this problem?

Hello,

NISSAN X-Trail (T32) 1.6 dCi ALL MODE 4x4-i (NT32) (96 KW / 130 CH)

I would like to ask for some advice as to which part(s) have most likely failed resulting in the following symptoms:

- Start/Stop failure (with dashboard warning message at start-up)
- All wheel drive mode failure (with dashboard warning message at start-up)

- Powered boot lid opening of its own accord when vehicle is stationary
- Powered boot lid opening when selecting 'ALL MODE 4x4 Locked' position

Feel like some type of control unit failure. Thanks in advance.

Hello folks , fixing a micra k12 1.2 04 plate for my daughter as her first car . Speedometer works but sticks in places , reads 10 mph at standstill doesn,t appear to read correct speed . No codes on obd scan . Suspect speedo ,cluster is an ax870
1 Are the similar (ax770/771 etc)cluster on k12 interchangeable ?
2 Will the cluster/car need a software update or is it just plug and play ?

The passenger front electric window will go down but not up. I have cleaned the switch and ball bearings to no avail. There are no signs of damage. I can get the window to rise if I reverse the connection to the motor.
